History
Carlton Redcliffs Hockey Club was formed in 1994 from the Redcliffs Club and the Carlton Ladies Club. The creation of Carlton Redcliffs Hockey Club resulted from the 1989 merger of the New Zealand Women's Hockey Association and New Zealand Hockey Association (Men) to form the New Zealand Hockey Federation, now called Hockey New Zealand (HNZ).
Redcliffs Hockey Club began on 31 March 1928 and entered a Junior Team, which went on to win the Junior Championship in 1929. A senior team was entered in 1929 and won their first title in 1938. The Club went into recession after World War 2, but was reformed in 1969, when the womens' Redcliffs teams were entered into the competition. Redcliffs uniforms -
