The AGM was held on Sunday 26 November 2017; a small yet positive turnout - this year 3 committee members stood down from the committee;

Ele England (Club Secretary) after 9 years has stepped down to allow the club to grow and develop, her role has been split into 3 elements to ensure that no one feels too daunted stepping into a voluntary role; this has become Secretary (committee) responsible for the club meetings, reports and the day to day running of the administration side of the club; a new web developer role - which is 90% taken! and a database manager to ensure that club transfers and teams are loaded up onto the Hockey NZ database. 

Ele will still be around continuing to pretend she knows more than she does - with both her boys playing and also a niece and nephew who play; she will continue to enjoy watching a wide range of quality hockey. Her husband Garry is looking forward to the phone ringing less and the email not being so busy. 

Jennifer Rutherford - MWO - Division One/Two Women player/coach - has moved into an exciting role as manager within Canterbury Rugby League. Jen is undertaking to this volunteer change in role alongside her teaching career and therefore needs to finds balance. We believe we will still see her on the field and lurking around the hockey fields naturally cheering on Carlton Redcliffs.

Tanyia Legge - Player/coach and manager; we were blessed with Tanyia's knowledge a few years back when her family joined teams within our club. A passionate supporter of hockey - Tanyia has a wide depth of knowledge that she has shared with the Avon Club (25 years) prior to us. She has managed rep teams and continues to have a passion supporting the development of players. Tanyia works with our Div 1 Men and our Primary 11 aside girls players. Tanyia stays with the club but is allowing the committee to do what committee's need to do and have change within them.
