Carlton Redcliffs mourns the passing of Monica Munt

Published Fri 11 May 2018

Carlton Redcliffs is sad to have to share the news of the passing of our current Patron and longtime club member - Monica Munt.

Monica has been our Patron for a long time and has always been active in the club as a regular supporter at games - going all the way back to the many years sitting in the Porritt Park Pavilion watching her well known children and grandchildren play their hockey, always attending club functions and awards nights and generally doing whatever needed to be done!

Monica provided the club with a number of members … mother of Lee and Richard, grandmother of Simon and Dean, and also Brad who worked for CHA as a development officer about the turn of the century. She also has a number of great-grandchildren playing.

She presented the club with a trophy for the outstanding Premier Women’s Player which is hugely sought-after award each year.

A very thoughtful and caring person, Monica was well loved and respected by all of us and especially those older members who have known her well. She will be missed, the entire club extends our deepest sympathy and love to all of her extended family.
