Matches to be played Mahuru| September 18th and 19th
CHA has made the decision to play the following grand final matches (subject to team agreement) for:
- CPL                                  - 1st & 2nd Final and 3rd & 4th playoff match
- Div 1                                - 1st & 2nd Final and 3rd & 4th playoff match
- Sunday Super League   - 1st & 2nd Final
- Platinum                         - 1st & 2nd Final

Carlton Redcliffs have teams involved in the Mens and Women's CPL, Div 1 and Super Sunday League games.

Senior Matches not to be completed
Although it would be great to play all of the remaining matches for our competitions, after considering a number of factors and with consultation with the wider community, the overwhelming opinion is to not play any of the other playoff/final round matches lower than the grand finals, with the exception of our top two grades.

Junior Hockey decision - We have received the update from Canterbury Hockey, and unfortunately the news is that after carefully considering a number of factors and consulting with committees and wider community, the decision has been made to not play the final round of our Junior hockey competition.

The contributing factors that were considered when reaching this conclusion:
  *   Availability of turfs, including school and satellite turfs during level 2
  *   Additional resources required for all turfs to deliver trainings and the last game safely and correctly
  *   Pressures on the clubs and the volunteers to provide adequate preparation for one last game
  *   The unknown nature of the revised level 2 restrictions, social distancing requirements and a possibility of no spectators
  *   The level of player interest and wellbeing given the duration of time that has passed between matches (will be at least 5 weeks)
  *   The focus of this level being enjoyment and participation and not on winning and ‘finals’

As you can appreciate this was not a decision that was made lightly, but one they feel is best for all involved.

Junior End of Season Celebration The end of year celebration date will have to be moved, and we will update you with this once it has been confirmed.
