CPL Womens Team 2023

Published Sat 18 Mar 2023

We are pleased to name our Premier Women’s team, the Reindeer, with a competitive side named after seeing a number of key players move on from last year.

2023 sees the return of CHA Coach of the Year Andrew Hastie, after a successful first season in charge where the team claimed the Rosebowl & Porritt Cup.

Young talent within the club has been on display for a number of years, and it is exciting to see the promotion of Sorell Shand, Sam Shaw & Mila Hastie into the premier team for the first time.

They are joined by newcomers Jess Kelly, Phoebe Hall & Henni Nation, the latter joining sister Sophie and cousin Kirsty in the team. How many Nation’s is too many Nation’s?

Anneka Calder returns to the club after a three year excursion to Auckland, and will form part of a formidable defensive unit.

Fan favourite Jane Jenkins will again run water and provide sideline entertainment in her role as manager.

The team begin preparations with a game against Roskill Eden Hockey Club Inc. Saturday, 10.30am at Marist Park.
