Our Pat wins NZ Hockey Pakistan Trophy for Outstanding Contribution to Hockey 2021

Published Thu 19 May 2022

Our Pat has been awarded the NZ Hockey Pakistan Trophy for Outstanding Contribution to Hockey 2021.  She was recently presented the trophy at the Trans tasman hockey series.  Pat has done it all for our club, from player to President, coach to mentor and everything in between, including making sure the Carlton women's club colours are remembered in our uniforms.  It is not just what she does, but how she does it, in her humble, kind, wise and extraordinarily generous way, combined with her phenomenal knowledge and energy.   We are privileged to know Pat and blessed to be a part of our club alongside her.

NZ Hockey wrote "It is a difficult task to articulate in words how amazingly valuable Pat Barwick is, not only for her club and Canterbury Hockey but for hockey in its entirety, both nationally and internationally. She is a true champion that is extremely generous with her knowledge and experience while continuing to motivate and inspire so many generations of players, officials, and coaches.
