Please keep an eye on our website and news items, we will post up the latest information as soon as we can after we receive it.

CHA HOCKEY CAN CONTINUE AS LONG AS WE FOLLOW THESE RULES.  Clubs are required to confirm that they are following the rules.:

1.  SPECTATORS  For games this weekend (including Friday) the following applies:

  • Nunweek Park -     NO SPECTATORS are permitted within the outer fences.
  • Nga Puna Wai  -      SPECTATORS ARE PERMITTED but they MUST sign in using the iDME or NZ Government COVID Tracing apps AND maintain social distancing at all times.
  • Marist Park/Mainpower Waimakiriri Stadium - SPECTATORS ARE PERMITTED in identified areas, spectators must follow signage direction and MUST sign in AND maintain social distancing at all times.-

2.  CONTACT TRACING AND RECORDING ARE COMPULSORY  Contact tracing measures using the iDMe system will be reinstated across all venues.  CHA are reviewing the data and noted that on Wednesday a number of participants did not sign in.  PLEASE SIGN IN!

      1. CHA requires IDME records for every practice and game for ALL hockey participants, coaches, managers and officials.   Canterbury Hockey will be responsible for providing detailed information to Public Health if requested. iDME venue codes:

  • Ngā Puna Wai                          - ADDRP
  • Nunweek Park                         - CJSHB
  • Marist Park                               - JCKNC
  • Waimakariri Turf (Rangiora)    - HNUAC

We request that Managers:

1.  Keep a record of a list of all players, manager and coach attending a practice or game.

2.  Ensure that all players details are entered into the IDME link to record whoever has attended a practice or game on the IDME app.

IDME Instructions - Click here for screenshot instructions for entering multiple people on Phone instructions -click here  or Website link for laptop - click here  This may be challenging for individual players especially juniors to record (who don't have phones).

3.  Remind Individuals they need to use the Government Tracing app to record own movements, which will be displayed at each venue

3. HYGIENE AND CLEANING - Sanitising hands on arrival AND departure, washing hands, elbow sneezing and coughing.  Carlton Redcliffs will collect hand sanitiser and issue to team managers- 100 people gatherings in a defined space.  This means that we have multiple groups of 100 across turf spaces, but we stop the groups from intermingling or sharing common facilities.

4. - 2 METRE distancing from members of public

5.   People who are unwell must stay at home

6.   Changing rooms closed until future notice

Trainings can continue if all of the above is followed, as well as arriving on time and leaving straight away

JUNIOR HOCKEY THIS WEEKEND

All Kwik Sticks 11-aside games will take place as scheduled - ***NOTE Orua Paeroa games will move to Nunweek Park and be played at the same time as originally scheduled. The draw will be changed on the website as soon as possible.

Kiwi Sticks and Mini Sticks games this weekend cancelled. Key reasons for this include:
- turf availability
- contact tracing to be put in place
- up-skillling of venue supervisors
- health and safety requirements at each facility

Senior/Secondary School
All senior/secondary school hockey will proceed as normal this weekend. However all participants MUST SIGN IN at each venue using the iDME app and follow all other COVID-19 guidelines.

Any questions or concerns please contact the club on either reddos.secretary@gmail.com or 027 249 2285.  The first priority is to ensure that hockey can continue safely and within the guidelines outlined by the Government.
