About Carlton Redcliffs
Carlton Redcliffs Hockey Club is based in the Bays area of Sumner to Heathcote but not only restricted to this residential area. A number of our members especially senior and open grade come from around the city. Carlton Redcliffs was formed from two strong clubs during the 1990’s and has continued to provide hockey opportunities for all levels of player, from beginner, social and masters through to elite, and relies on positive volunteers to support the club structure and functions. The club has a strong history of developing players for Representative play and has also produced a regular number of NZ representatives. We have recently been developing a strong liaison and club link with Shirley Boys and Avonside Girls High School and utilize their new turf for our trainings to reduce travel for our young teams and parents especially. Equally we continue to grow and develop our primary players with support of turf laid at Mount Pleasant and Sumner Schools. We always welcome new members and are happy to hear from anyone wanting to play hockey either seriously, or simply with friends who want to play together and enjoy their game!
